Pornhub sees sharp rise in trans and femboy demand amid growing anti-trans views
December 10 2025, 08:15

Pornhub has reported a sharp rise in trans and femboy demand worldwide, despite an increase in anti-trans views.

The site’s Year in Review has revealed that 2025 has been a success for LGBTQ+ content.

According to the report’s “trends that defined 2025”, “lesbian” has been ranked as the top category on Pornhub, with the term “lesbian scissoring” being up 79 per cent.

The term “lesbian MILF” grew 129 per cent, while “lesbian strapon” was up 62 per cent.  Additionally, the trans category became the second most viewed of the year.

“Femboy” joined the world’s top 10 search terms, and was first among Pornhub’s gay visitors, with “cute femboy” being up 79 per cent, “sexy femboy” up 93 per cent and “femboy hentai” up by 64 per cent.

Supporting the trend, searches for terms like “trans threesome” increased by 67 per cent , while “trans amateur” rose by 49 per cent.

Meanwhile, the term “queer” increased +132 per cent, while “bisexual” saw an +88 per cent increase.

‘Audiences and the industry are evolving together’

Trans Pornhub Brand Ambassador, Natassia Dreams, said of the trend: “What’s happening in 2025 is more than just an increase in views; it’s a cultural shift. For the first time, trans-led content is the second most watched category in the industry.

“People are finally seeking out stories and performers who break old ideas about gender and sexuality. It’s amazing to see viewers become more open-minded and interested in authenticity. This growth shows trans creators are finally being seen and celebrated on our own terms. Audiences and the industry are evolving together.”

The increase in the desire to watch LGBTQ+ content, specifically trans-led, comes amid growing anti-trans views.

Last year, a report from trans-inclusive underwear brand Zoah revealed that LGBTQ+ people feel increasingly unsafe in the UK.

The study showed that 72 per cent of transgender and non-binary people do not feel safe because of their gender identity.

The survey, which included the views of almost 400 transgender men, trans women and non-binary individuals, revealed that 72 per cent of transgender and non-binary people do not feel safe because of their gender identity.

It further found that students and young people were less than half as likely to feel safe and confident going to school or college than their cisgender peers.

In June, GLAAD’s third annual Anti-LGBTQ Extremism Reporting Tracker report revealed a “dramatic rise” in anti-trans hate incidents, recording the equivalent of 2.5 incidents every day between 1 May 2024 and 1 May 2025.

A majority of 52 per cent of all incidents were also specifically targeting transgender and gender non-conforming people.
