Trump had Epstein killed because he was going to “name names,” Epstein’s brother claims

Mark Epstein, the brother of deceased billionaire child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, told the FBI in 2023 that Donald Trump “authorized” Jeffrey Epstein’s killing in his jail cell in 2019 because Jeffrey Epstein was about to “name names” associated with his high-profile crimes, The Miami Herald reported.

Mark Epstein’s claim was contained in an FBI document released alongside thousands of other files by the Department of Justice (DOJ) early Tuesday morning. In an unprecedented message, the DOJ noted that the files contain “untrue and sensationalist claims” against Trump. It’s unclear whether the FBI or DOJ investigated Mark Epstein’s claim.

The DOJ violated federal law by refusing to release all of its files on Jeffrey Epstein by the required December 19 deadline. The department now says its release will take months — Congress members are considering legal consequences for the DOJ’s noncompliance.

A 2007 indictment of 60 criminal charges against Jeffrey Epstein alleged that he had met underage girls at his New York mansion and flown underage girls to his private island in St. Thomas. There, he allegedly nakedly fondled the girls under the guise of them giving him “massages.”

Subsequent trafficking charges resulted in Jeffrey Epstein’s July 2019 arrest and detainment at the federal Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City. He died on August 10, 2019. New York City’s medical examiner ruled Epstein’s death a suicide, but Michael Baden, a board-certified forensic pathologist hired to oversee the autopsy by Mark Epstein said he believed that Jeffrey Epstein died more likely due to homicidal strangulation than suicidal hanging.

Conspiracy theorists have long claimed that someone murdered Jeffrey Epstein to keep him from revealing the powerful elites who raped children alongside him.

Donald was very close to Epstein in the ’90s,” Trump’s lesbian niece Mary Trump wrote in February. “When New York Magazine asked Donald about Epstein for a piece called International Moneyman of Mystery,’ my uncle said, ‘He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it.’”

Trump has been accused of having sex with “many girls” supplied to him by Jeffrey Epstein. The accusation — made by Sarah Ransome, a woman who said Jeffrey Epstein sexually exploited her — came to light in recently unsealed court documents. Trump, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by at least 26 women, has denied the accusations.
