Cisgender gay male influencer Zachary Willmore was recently the victim of a straight man’s anti-LGBTQ+ abuse for using the men’s room at a New Year’s Eve event.

Willmore went out on New Year’s Eve wearing a silver suit with an open jacket and no shirt, high-heel shoes, sparkling eye makeup, and earrings. He danced at the event, doing a flip and splits to the delight of the crowd, one of his videos showed. Afterward, he used a urinal in the men’s restroom, which apparently made one drunk partygoer “uncomfortable,” The Tab reported.

Willmore told the man he was being homophobic and then went into a private stall to finish his bathroom use, the publication added. However, the man then began to shake Willmore’s stall, leading Willmore to record their interaction upon exiting the stall.

In the clip, which Willmore recorded amid being harassed in the bathroom, his drunk assailant proudly tells Willmore to get his face on camera and then says, “I don’t like a dude, a dude, with f**kin’ — show your face, show your face — with f**kin’ pearls on his eyes. Yeah, I don’t like that s**t in a men’s bathroom, showing your f**king chest like a girl. Like a f**king girl, dressed like a girl with f**king belly button rings.”

When Willmore explains that he used a private bathroom stall to avoid any harassment, the man says, “Yeah, because you’re a f**king b**ch! You’re a f**king girl. You wanna be a girl so bad.”

Speaking to his viewers, Willmore then faces the camera and says, “They don’t want transgender women to use the women’s bathroom, they don’t want gay men to use the men’s bathroom. I guess I’ll just p**s on the floor.” Willmore also explains that he’s not trans.

The man asks Willmore why he doesn’t go to the girls’ bathroom. When Willmore says, “Because I’m a f**king boy,” the man then asks Willmore why he dresses “like a girl.” The man then asks if Willmore has ovaries.

In a follow-up video on Instagram, Willmore said, “I told him that there are 8 billion people on this Earth, how can you expect everyone to think and act exactly like you? I also just wanted to pee.”

“It happens so much it shouldn’t affect me still, sometimes I’m just shocked ppl are actually homophobic,” Willmore wrote on TikTok. “It doesn’t make sense to me, I’m just living my life. If more people got to know me I think they’d like me.”

Studies consistently show that LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly transgender and non-binary people, face significant risks of verbal harassment, physical assault, and sexual assault in public restrooms and other gender-segregated facilities.
