Conservatives are boycotting Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl show & organizing a Christian alternative

One Million Moms, the conservative Christian organization whose apparent goal is to sanitize and de-gay all of American pop culture, is asking supporters to boycott Bad Bunny’s performance during the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

On its website, the group warns that Bunny — consistently one of the most-streamed artists in the world since 2020 — is “a Puerto Rican rapper, who has a large fan base among Latino communities” and “is also known as an LGBTQ activist and for cross dressing in his music videos, media interviews/appearances, and concert performances.”

OMM also takes issue with the three-time Grammy winner’s vocal opposition to the presidential administration’s campaign of terror carried out by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and with his decision not to play any dates in the U.S. on his current Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour.

The group is urging supporters to skip the NFL’s Super Bowl Halftime Show and tune in instead to Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show. The organization founded by the late anti-LGBTQ+ Christian Nationalist activist Charlie Kirk “will broadcast an alternative to the liberal propaganda that the NFL is pushing on viewers,” according to OMM, which describes the show as “a celebration of faith, family, and freedom.”

As USA Today notes, TPUSA announced its halftime show back in October in response to racist and anti-LGBTQ+ backlash to the NFL’s selection of Bad Bunny to perform at the Super Bowl from conservatives. TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet said at the time that the show would “be in an arena” and would be “a real production.”

Four months later, however, TPUSA has yet to announce a single performer for the February 8 show. It also remains unclear where the show will take place and where it will be broadcast. (A viral social media post claiming that rapper Jelly Roll would headline the show was debunked back in October — though Google’s AI Overview continues to cite it as fact.) A website for the All-American Halftime Show just features a form where supporters can enter their personal information to receive updates on the show.

Nevertheless, on its website, OMM “highly recommends viewing this conservative and patriotic option for the entire family” and letting the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell know about it via an online petition.

This is not the first time OMM has spoken out about a Super Bowl Halftime Show, or even one featuring Bad Bunny. The rapper appeared alongside Jennifer Lopez and Shakira in 2020, and as OMM reminds supporters, the group “spoke out in February 2020 regarding the inappropriate halftime show starring scantily clad Jennifer Lopez.”

“1MM cannot remember the last time we were looking forward to a Super Bowl Halftime Show and now Turning Point USA is giving us that option,” the group said.
