To many LGBTQ people, it feels like a very dark time. For hope, look to homegrown organizations like MassEquality and its Beacons of Light Gala, an annual celebration of the people and organizations that are doing the arduous work of fighting to preserve, protect and advance LGBTQ rights in the Bay State and beyond. In addition to the bestowing its Icon Awards on honorees, the gala will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, and dancing–because one way we fight the shadows is with the illuminating power of joy.
