Many have slammed FBI director Kash Patel for his raucous locker room partying with the USA Men’s Hockey Team after they won gold Sunday night for the first time since 1980.
Video and photos show Patel downing beers and jumping up and down, partying with his arms around the players. Many mocked him as the “hardest working man in the government,” slammed him for using an FBI jet to travel to the games, and pointed out how inappropriate they felt it was for Patel to be publicly partying as he continues to avoid prosecuting perpetrators named in the Epstein files.

But on the right, the media is glorifying Patel’s beer chugging as the pinnacle of masculinity.
Newsmax host Carl Higbie, for example, said Patel’s celebration is “what testosterone looks like.”

“I know that’s not familiar with most liberals, and they’re like, why is the FBI director chugging a beer? Because he’s a hockey fan, he loves America, and he was in the moment with testosterone. Sorry, not sorry,” Higbie said.
He then admitted he wishes Patel would “arrest someone like [former Obama White House council Kathryn] Ruemmler for sharing sensitive information about Epstein. But, but, but I’m super OK with the guy going over there and celebrating with our hockey.”
“At least this FBI director is proud that he’s American rather than someone who hated it like the last few directors who funneled a fake dossier to spy on the president,” he said. “Just saying.”
He then doubled down to make sure people knew how much he supported Patel’s masculine celebration.
“But when Kash gets back, Pam Bondi, if you could just hand him over some indictments to go arrest some people, that would be great. But again, on the record, to be clear, I’m totally fine with him going over there and chugging beers with the American winning hockey team,” he said.
