A lesbian couple trying to “reconcile” their relationship were arrested in Lavonia, Georgia, for getting publicly intimate on a lawn between a RaceWay gas station and a McDonald’s fast food restaurant.
On October 21, around 7 p.m. local time, police received a call about the incident. When officers arrived, they “located a white female on top of a black female, and each of them had their pants pulled down exposing their pelvic regions,” according to the police report.

In a public Facebook post, the Lavonia Police Department wrote, “The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze us…. If you decide to [visit our town] with your life partner while on a road trip to reconcile your relationship, please… Get a room. Go home. Don’t reconcile in broad daylight in the grass beside the street…. How about using some common sense.”
While the police’s Facebook post garnered 865 reactions, 296 comments, and 566 shares, this incident isn’t the only surprising incident of gay public intercourse to happen this year.
In March, two men were spotted engaging in relations atop a moving New York City subway train while it was traveling on an elevated track outdoors in broad daylight.
Pictures of what the New York Post called a “death-defying” act were posted to the X account of “Transit Workers Against Corruption.” The account asked, “What is the MTA doing about this?” adding a red-faced emoji expressing anger.
The Metro Transit Authority expressed disapproval of the act.
“The only thing dumber than riding on top of a subway train is dropping pants in the process,” MTA communications director Tim Minton said in a statement. “Those reckless clowns aren’t thinking about the mess cleaners and other transit workers will have to deal with when their stupid stunt goes tragically wrong.”
