Tarrant County, Texas Republican Party chair and fervent MAGA supporter Bo French has been the center of controversy as of late after a stream of X posts invoking homophobic and ableist slurs, among other hateful ideologies.
In early October, French referred to a Democratic ad featuring male voters as the “gayest ad in history.”

He also replied to a video of Liz Cheney speaking at a Harris event by saying, “Never go full r**ard.”
He also replied to a post about fan interference during the World Series by saying, “R**ard strength.”
A few days later, he said that democrats are “commies” with a “demonic ideology” that needs to be “crushed.”
He also derogatorily referred to former President Obama and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as “gay” in two separate posts on X.
“If you want anymore evidence Walz is gay, look how he starts his Wordle,” one post said.
He also created a since-deleted poll where he asked if people who think Harris’s policies are better than Trump’s policies are “Ignorant,” “r**arded,” “gay,” or “a liar.”
He also made fun of out Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg’s sexuality, by merely replying “Gay” to one of Buttigieg’s posts about the election.
In response to a Kamala Harris post about trusting women, he said, “There are just some things where you can’t trust women TBH.”
French proudly advertises in his bio on X that he is “Making Tarrant County inhospitable to democrats,” and he has accused Democrats of trying to “rid the earth of the white race.” He previously tried to get college voting locations closed due to young people’s Democratic leanings and has bragged about raising over a million dollars for the Fort Worth Police.
Tarrant County Precinct Chair Sheena Rodriguez wrote an email to party leaders demanding French apologize for “outright vile and dehumanizing” statements and resign immediately, according to The Texas Tribune.
“Mr. French’s counterproductive and outright destructive rhetoric is detrimental to the Tarrant County GOP,” Rodriguez wrote. “Conservative members, supporters and constituents of the Tarrant County GOP deserve a new, humble, respectful, and productive leader — one who is capable of being a decent human being.”
Precinct chair Carlos Turcios criticized Rodriguez for these claims, saying it’s “not appropriate to create fights within the party a week before election day.”
Precinct chair Larry Carpenter Jr. called Rodriguez a “sell out” to the conservative movement and claimed she was trying to “censor free speech.”
“I would highly recommend you switch parties,” Carpenter wrote. “All of this evidence you sent to me is gay, r*tarded, ignorant and waste everyones [sic] time as it truly is a joke.”
