Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt completely avoided answering a reporter’s question on whether Donald Trump spent “hours at Jeffrey Epstein’s house with a victim.”
The question came as a result of newly released emails from Epstein, a convicted and deceased child sex trafficker, in which Epstein alleged that Trump knew about the girls he was trafficking and that Trump had spent “hours” with one of the trafficked girls in Epstein’s house.

Leavitt did not answer the question, but instead replied, “These emails prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong.”
“This email you refer to with the name of a victim that was unredacted now… so I will go ahead and say it, Virginia Giuffre.”

Echoing a statement she previously released, Leavitt said CBS had previously reported that Giuffre (a longtime Epstein accuser who died by suicide in April) said she never saw Trump act inappropriately.

In another newly released email, Epstein referred to Trump as a “dog that hasn’t barked,” suggesting that Trump didn’t talk to legal authorities or the press about Epstein’s activities.
Leavitt has maintained that the Democrats have “selectively leaked emails” to “smear President Trump” and distract from their role in the shutdown.
Many on social media slammed Leavitt’s response.
Classic dodge. “Emails prove nothing” is the go-to when the heat’s on. Meanwhile, the questions keep piling up. Innocent until proven guilty? Sure. But ignoring the elephant in the room doesn’t make it disappear.
