
Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, who replaced the first out Cabinet member Pete Buttigieg, said on a podcast that a career is a “false promise” for girls and that they should instead focus on their families.
Duffy’s wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy, is a Fox host with a career spanning several decades that includes hosting a local television show and reality TV.

“We’re telling young girls, ‘Get a job, advance your career, your career is the most important thing that you have in your life,'” Duffy said on the Shawn Ryan Show last week. “And I think it’s a false promise, man. I think it’s a false promise; it doesn’t give you happiness.”
“Who do you have a cup of coffee with on a Saturday morning?” he continued, implying that women having a career can’t have other kinds of relationships. “Who are you gonna watch a sunset with? You know, who are you gonna share a day at the lake with? Um, or a rainy day where you sit in your house, who do you share that with?”
