Toys for Joys returns with Holly Folly Tea Dance as first fête since 2019
November 18 2025, 08:15

Toys for Joys, that fabulous annual holiday fête that raises fund so thousands of kids get something under the tree, is back with a live, in-person event for the first time since 2019. And this year, for the first time (they’d shifted to fundraising online due to COVID), they’re partnering with the Provincetown Business Guild and Red Room to produce a fabulously festive tea dance during the first weekend of Holly Folly in Provincetown.

Toys for Joys’ Holly Folly Tea Dance begins at 4 p.m. on December 6, at the Saki Stage at Red Room, 258 Commercial St., Provincetown. Admission is free, but preregistration (click here) is required.

Here’s the scoop:

Entrance is free, but we do require pre-registration and we appreciate monetary donations to help our 100% volunteer organization.  We have a lofty goal of raising $20,000!  In addition, we ask that everyone bring a toy to be donated to children and families in need.  Our mission is to bring a smile and sense of hope during the holiday season to Massachusetts children, teens, and families suffering from homelessness, poverty, food insecurity, mental illness, and other major life challenges.

What started out in 2002 as a small housewarming holiday party with a tree and a few bags of toys, turned into a 501(c)(3) organization. Through the generosity of friends, family, generous corporations, local businesses, and individual sponsors, we have distributed over 70,000 toys and gifts through our beneficiary partners:

  • Wonderfund of Massachusetts (MA Department of Children and Families)
  • Casa Iris/Multicultural AIDS Coalition (Jamaica Plain)
  • IBA (South End)
  • Eastern Service Workers Association (Dorchester, East Boston, Mattapan)
  • United South End Settlements (South End)
  • Urban Farming Institute (Mattapan, Dorchester)
  • Boston Housing Authority/Joseph Tierney Learning Center (Boston)
  • St. Ann’s Home and School (Methuen)

After we purchase the toys and gifts for all ages, we receive 2 tractor trailers just before the holidays.  Donated trucks from our amazing logistics partners (PEAK Event Services and Big Foot Moving and Storage) become “Santa’s Sleigh’s” delivering them throughout Massachusetts from Cape Cod to Pittsfield.

Our goal in 2025 is to distribute 10,000 toys and gifts!! We need to raise $100,000 to do this!  Contributions to Toys for Joys, Inc. may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. The deductible amount excludes the fair market value of any goods or services received.

Admission to the P’town tea dance is free, but preregistration (click here) is required.
