Rightwing media is reporting that the Trump administration is considering printing a $250 bill with Donald Trump’s face on it.

This is the second plan from the White House to put Trump on currency, even though only dead people are traditionally memorialized on money in the U.S. Trump is still alive.

U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach told the rightwing Daily Caller that he wants Trump on a $250 bill because the U.S.’s 250th anniversary is this year.

“When Trump appointed me to the job, I told him I wanted to do a $250 bill with his picture on the 250 birthday celebration,” Beach said, adding that it’s currently illegal to put a living president’s face on paper money.

“Now we’ve got a bill in the House, but it’s got to be passed by law,” Beach continued. “If it is, then we will do the $250 with his picture on it.”

In December, Beach said that he wanted to mint a dollar coin with Trump’s face on it. It’s technically not illegal to put a sitting president’s face on coins, as monarchies and dictatorships often do with their leaders.

Congressional Democrats introduced a bill to ban the U.S. Mint from making any currency with “the likeness of a living or sitting President.” Since Republicans control both chambers of Congress – and Trump himself is president – the bill is unlikely to pass. Beach snarked that Democrats were “so triggered by the proposed coin celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary that they are trying to recklessly change law to block it.”

Beach told the Daily Caller that the Mint is moving forward with the Trump coin and that “we’re going to put some kind of eagle or something on the back. He can’t be on both sides. He can only be on the front, but it’s going to be a beautiful coin.”

Beach said that he believes the Republican Congress will pass a bill to legalize the Trump $250 bill, which was introduced last year by Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) in the House.
