Mike Johnson said Republicans are the “grownups” in the room & people have thoughts

During an appearance on Newsmax, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) told voters to stick with the GOP in midterms because “You’ve gotta keep the grownups in charge, and that’s the Republicans.”

Speaking to journalist Greta Van Susteren, Johnson blamed Democrats for the ongoing partial government shutdown over funding the Department of Homeland Security. He said that Democrats have “full-on Trump derangement syndrome” that “informs how they see the world and how they react,” and he hopes “voters remember this in the fall.”
