
Lesbian couple Alex Warren and KB White had no idea what to expect after they won a wedding dress shopping experience as part of the promotion of film studio A24’s upcoming film The Drama, starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, about an engaged couple navigating a shocking revelation.
And what happened was beyond their wildest dreams. The couple answered the casting call for the experience as a way for Warren to start getting a feel for what she wanted to wear for the wedding. Instead, she wound up with the dress of her dreams, paid for by Zendaya herself. Not only that, but the actress’s famed stylist, Law Roach, assisted them along the way.

“It felt completely surreal,” Warren told Them. “I’ve always loved fashion and gowns, and to have a dress not only approved by a stylist I’ve admired forever, but then paid for by an artist I love – as a queer woman, shopping for a wedding gown with my fiancée by my side – I cannot overstate how meaningful that was.”
Zendaya not only paid for the dress, but after the couple spent a full hour with Roach, the actress showed up to celebrate. Warren said both Roach and Zendaya seemed “truly happy for us as a couple.”

“When I put [the dress] on, with KB right there beside me and Law and Zendaya both saying yes, that’s it! I felt so radiant and real and lucky that we get to do this! And we have a stunning gown, bought by Zendaya, to prove it!”
White said they are in “complete disbelief at their generosity.”
“As two queer people who work in public service, this fancy world was not one we expected to be welcomed into so fully!”
Warren also posted photos of the experience on Instagram and called it part of the “sparkliest week” of her life.”
“I am so lucky to have had an experience like this … out of this world,” she wrote. She then spoke directly to White: “it’s you and me forever and always, with or without rings or fancy dresses
