The White House has removed a video from its website of an Easter event where his spiritual advisor, Paula White, compared him to Jesus, inciting mockery on the internet.
The event was an Easter lunch with several Cabinet members and faith leaders, held on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the East Room, according to Mediaite. Video from the livestream of the event showed White – the televangelist who was appointed head of the White House Faith Office – comparing Trump to Jesus, while Trump beams at her.

“Mr. President, no one has paid the price like you have paid the price,” she said in the video that has since been shared on social media. “It almost cost you your life. You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused. It’s a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us.”
“God always had a plan. On the third day, he rose. He defeated evil. He conquered death, hell, and the grave. And because he rose, we all know that we can rise. And sir, because of his resurrection, you rose up. Because he was victorious, you were victorious.”

“And I believe that the Lord said to tell you this: because of his victory, you will be victorious in all you put your hand to.”

Mediaite reports that the video of the event, which ran for over an hour, was later deleted from the White House website. The page once displaying the video says it has been made “private.”
While the White House hasn’t said why the video was deleted, it could be due to mockery on social media.
The sheer blasphemy is so overwhelming I could barely make it through this clip. And I have no doubt it will be reckoned with by the same God whose name they so boldly and ceaselessly profane. https://t.co/n88liNUOno
