The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund last week announced their endorsements of Senator Ed Markey for re-election to the Senate. The dual national endorsements recognize Senator Markey’s lifelong commitment to defending LGBTQ rights, reproductive freedom, and civil rights – and his leadership in the fight against an unprecedented MAGA Republican assault on all three fronts. 

The endorsements come as Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans have escalated their attacks on LGBTQ Americans and reproductive freedom — defunding Planned Parenthood through cuts to Medicaid in the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” freezing Title X funding for clinics that provide reproductive care, pardoning anti-abortion extremists, and rolling back protections for LGBTQ+ people in health care, education, and the workplace.
