While his vice president’s wartime negotiations with Iran were falling apart on Sunday night, President Donald Trump was at an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event complimenting a male competitor’s handsomeness.
Trump shook the hands of UFC fighter Paulo Costa, who won his light heavyweight match against Azamat Murzakanov by TKO in the third round. Following his victory, Costa jumped out of the fighting cage to greet and shake hands with Trump, who was seated cageside.

Trump has long expressed admiration for men whom he sees as powerful, including authoritarian dictators. In fact, in February 2024, then-presidential candidate Nikki Haley trolled Trump with homoerotic Valentine’s Day cards to his favorite dictators.
Meanwhile, the failed negotiations between the Trump administration and Iran have resulted in the U.S. conducting a naval blockade against Iranian ports, something that is considered an act of war under international law. The blockade could effectively signal an end to the two-week U.S-Iran ceasefire (despite being announced barely a week ago).
Trump’s illegal war in Iran has resulted in at least 2,076 deaths and 26,500 injuries in the country so far, according to Al Jazeera News.
