As the definition of the “outsider” has expanded to include residents from within one’s own country, as color still separates, and immigration status villainizes some and valorizes others, don’t forget about Ukraine.
As “gender ideology,” “critical race theory,” and “diversity equity & inclusion” have become catchphrases for a supposed radical leftist agenda, as banned books and other curricular materials have expanded under the guise of stopping an “evil” woke takeover, while mandates are pushed to toe the dominant ideological line, and as critical consciousness and independent thought have become somehow subversive, don’t forget Ukraine.
But also, as selective fascist regimes like those in Bulgaria, Hungary, and the United States have lost or are losing grip on power, as the grassroots have sprouted and grown in strength and power, signaling a new dawn on the horizon, don’t forget Ukraine.
When we support Ukraine, we support freedom everywhere.

The mad dictator cares not how many of his military are cut down in the meat grinder of combat and how many civilians he slaughters on the other side in his ever-accumulating war crimes as he envisions his pipe dream of renewed empire.

We the People must remain forever vigilant by upping our commitment and support to the people, their cultural heritage, and the land of the great nation of Ukraine. When we support Ukraine, we support freedom everywhere.
