Justice Department says man made a death threat against Trump by using seashells

The Justice Department indicted former FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday for allegedly making violent threats against the president by posting an image on social media of seashells on the beach spelling out “8647.”

The term “86” is a restaurant and bar industry phrase for ejecting, throwing out, getting rid of, or refusing service to a (usually drunk and unruly) person. The number “47” refers to Trump, the 47th U.S. president.

The Justice Department called the image “a threat to take the life of, and to inflict bodily harm upon” the president, but that’s basically BS. The truth is that the president has long wanted to persecute Comey for his role in the 2017 investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, which Trump viewed as a politically motivated attack by a “weaponized” justice system.

The Trump DOJ reportedly indicted former FBI Director James Comey over his social media post featuring seashells forming the number "8647."

Last September, the Justice Department unsuccessfully tried to indict Comey for allegedly obstructing a congressional proceeding by making a false statement to Congress. During a September 30, 2020 Senate Judiciary Committee, Comey denied having authorized anonymous leaks to The Wall Street Journal for an October 2016 article. Former FBI official Andrew McCabe later alleged that Comey did authorize a leak.

Nevertheless, a judge threw out the first Justice Department’s indictment against Comey, saying the federal prosecutor lacked authority to pursue charges and had illegally collected the evidence against him.

MS NOW noted that acting Attorney General Todd Blanche’s more recent indictment against Comey comes on the heels of him using flimsy fraud charges to prosecute the pro-LGBTQ+ extremist watchdog organization, the Southern Poverty Law Center; intervening in a court case that against the president’s White House ballroom; and indicting a former aide to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the national epidemiologist who contradicted Trump numerous times during the deadly COVID pandemic.
