Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is demanding Donald Trump sign her gender-affirming care ban into law when he takes office. With Republicans set to control the House, Senate, and White House next year, she is even discussing what the bill does in detail on social media, including how it will throw doctors in jail for following the standards of care for trans youth, make gender-affirming care harder to obtain for trans adults, ban medical schools from teaching about it, and bar doctors from immigrating to the United States if they have been found to have offered gender-affirming care to trans patients.
“We must pass my Protect Children’s Innocence Act so President Trump can sign it into law!” Greene said on X. She then listed out what her bill does and didn’t just say that all it would do is “end child genital mutilation surgeries.”
