Now that the results of the 2024 elections are in – Republicans will control the Senate, House, and White House – everyone is talking about what Democrats should do to make a comeback in 2028. We at LGBTQ Nation want to know what you think they should do the most.
Should they move to the left and discuss their progressive policy goals, which could include a plan for single-payer health care and an upward redistribution of the tax burden? Or should they tack to the center, emphasizing a pro-business, tough-on-crime position?
Or is the solution outside of the policy realm? Have Democrats let communications on social media slide when it comes to reaching out to certain groups, like young cishet white men or Latin people? Or should they eschew identity-based communications and talk more about how Republicans make the economy worse for working people after President Joe Biden protected union pensions and achieved low unemployment while getting inflation down to low levels?
Which do you think would help the most?
