Nancy Mace says it’s “offensive” Sarah McBride thinks that she’s “equal” to her
November 23 2024, 08:15

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) has been obsessed with denigrating incoming Rep.-elect Sarah McBride (D-DE) — the first out transgender member of Congress — this week, getting Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) to ban all trans women at the Capitol from using the women’s facilities. Mace recently laid out the heart of her problem with McBride.

“It is offensive that a man in a skirt thinks that he’s my equal,” she said on the right-wing channel Newsmax. “Like his challenges are the same as mine! They’re not! And he’s forcing his genitals into women’s restrooms, into dressing rooms, into locker rooms. It’s sick, it’s twisted.”

Mace, who has posted on X over 300 times about McBride this week, introduced a resolution to ban trans people from using the facilities associated with their gender at the Capitol. She said that the resolution was a reaction to McBride’s historic election. Trans people have been working at the Capitol and visiting it for years.

Mace has called McBride “it” and misgendered her in televised interviews on the subject.
