Nancy Mace viciously mocked for threatening to fight Democrat & then chickening out
January 16 2025, 08:15

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) challenged Democratic colleague Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) to a fight during a committee hearing when trans rights were brought up. Then she promptly backed out on social media. Users noted that she doesn’t exactly have a history of being tough.

Mace introduced a resolution to ban trans women from women’s facilities at the Capitol complex shortly after Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) – the first transgender congressmember – was elected. After that, Mace made anti-trans sentiment a major part of her media appearances and posted on the subject hundreds of times per week on social media.

Greene said that it would be “assault” for McBride to use women’s facilities at the Capitol.

The exchange occurred yesterday at a House Oversight Committee hearing, where Crockett brought up Mace’s anti-trans rhetoric and said that she was using it to raise money.

“Somebody’s campaign coffers are struggling right now,” Crockett said, “so she’s going to keep saying ‘trans trans trans.'”

“Child listen…” Crockett said and that set Mace off.

“I’m no child! Do not call me a child! I’m no child!” Mace shouted, talking over Crockett. “Don’t even start! I’m a grown woman! I’m 47 years old! I’ve broken more glass ceilings than you ever have.”

“Mr. Chairman, I am reclaiming my time,” Crockett said to try to get Mace to respect the rules of the hearing. The chair, Rep. James Comer (R-KY), called for “order please” as Mace kept ranting.

“I am not a child! I am not a child! If you wanna take it outside, we can do that,” Mace said before finally calming down.

Mace immediately went to X to say that she didn’t actually want to fight Crockett.

“There’s been a lot of speculation about my intentions during a heated exchange on women’s rights earlier today on Oversight,” she wrote. “Let me be clear: I wanted to take the conversation off the floor to have a more constructive conversation, not to fight. At no point was there any intention of causing harm to anyone.”

She then brought up her claim that she was attacked by a “pro-tr*ns man” last month, something that eyewitnesses dispute, saying that someone at an event for foster children just shook her hand while asking her to support trans rights.

She backed down from Jasmine Crockett pretty fast on this one.

“If I wanted a physical fight, you’d know it. That’s not what this was,” she wrote in a separate post. “I won’t be bullied by someone who wants to take away women’s rights while lecturing about civil rights.”

She posted several dozen more times yesterday about her exchange with Crockett on X.

On Bluesky, people mocked Mace for chickening out.

Yeah, “let’s take it outside” always means let’s have a constructive conversation and provide eachother with valuable feedback in my hood.

For those of you glued to the Hegseth confirmation and may have missed it, Nancy Mace screamed that she was a grown woman and then immediately challenged Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett to physically fight her… so there’s that. Mace continues to be an embarrassment.
