The first episode of My View with Lara Trump sought to prove that Donald Trump is a champion of women because some women work in his administration.

Of course, Lara Trump (wife of Eric Trump) did not acknowledge that 26 women have accused her father-in-law of rape, sexual assault, or sexual misconduct or that a jury found him liable for sexual abuse against E. Jean Carroll, a writer who accused Trump of raping her in a Bergdorf Goodman fitting room around 1996.

To promote the idea that Trump supports women, Lara Trump interviewed Attorney General Pam Bondi, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, all of whom gushed over President Trump.
The Daily Beast called the interviews “painful to watch,” saying the show felt “like little more than incredibly amateur theater rather than something that passes for journalism.”
A sitting president’s close relative has never before hosted a high-profile news program. Some say the show is Fox’s attempt to return to Donald Trump’s good graces after the network turned increasingly against him after his first term.
“Millions of MAGA voters were understandably furious with Fox for its persistent anti-Trump slant during the off-years,” Alex Bruesewitz, Trump advisory and CEO of X Strategies, told Time. “But this is a smart move and certainly a step in the right direction.”
Yale University professor and media scholar Jason Stanely added, “It’s Fox showing its obsequiousness”
