A GOP congressman was met with a chorus of screams and boos from constituents after telling them being fired by Elon Musk is part of God’s plan for them.

Rep. Mark Alford of Missouri’s recent town hall event was filled with angry citizens demanding an end to the mass firings of federal employees by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

People chanted “No Kings!” and “Tax Elon!” at town hall events.

“Just because you have a government job doesn’t mean it’s a lifetime appointment like a Supreme Court,” Alford told attendees. “So I would encourage anyone who finds themselves in this situation to realize that we are going to get this economy turning again. There are jobs available. God has a plan and purpose for your life.”

The crowd did not like that at all and in fact spent the entire event screaming at Alford as he tried to defend Republican actions.

He then defended himself later and criticized constituents for their anger.
