Actor and anti-LGBTQ+ campaigner Laurence Fox has been charged with a sexual offence after allegedly sharing an intimate image of broadcaster Narinder Kaur.
Fox, 46, who is outspoken on social media about his opposition to LGBTQ+ rights, allegedly shared the image on social media last April, the BBC reported. At the time, Good Morning Britain regular Kaur described it as “unimaginably mortifying”.
The following day, Fox apologised to Kaur online before adding it wasn’t his “fault” that the compromising photo of Kaur had been taken more than 15 years ago.
The original post on Fox’s Twitter/X account said that the image was being shared because Kaur mocked former model Leilani Dowding, who is now a conservative commentator.
“She can go cry victim all she wants,” the post read. “It’s not my fault she forgot to put her pants on, the whining cry bully hypocrite.”
Laurence Fox, from Peldon, in Essex, did not create the image, the BBC reported, but against the law to share upskirting photos or videos taken by other people. He is due to appear in court next month.
“Upskirting” refers to when a person takes a photo or video under a person’s clothing without their consent. It became a specific offence under the 2019 Voyeurism (Offences) Act, which amended the 2003 Sexual Offences Act.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “A man has been charged with a sexual offence following an investigation. Laurence Fox will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on April 24 charged with an offence contrary to section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act.”
Who is Narinder Kaur?

Narinder Kaur first rose to fame as a contestant in Big Brother. She appeared in the 2001 series, making history as the first British Indian person to appear in the popular reality show.
Prior to entering the Big Brother house, the Mirror reports that Narinder Kaur had ‘tried her hand’ at acting, even appearing in a Bollywood film. However, she faced additional challenges as an Indian actress, including being typecast and difficulties getting opportunities.
She currently regularly appears as a panellist on UK daytime TV programmes including Good Morning Britain and Loose Women.
