Nancy Mace rages at “evil” constituents who flooded her office with calls about town hall
April 09 2025, 08:15

In a video bursting with hypocrisy, anti-trans Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) berated “evil” Americans for calling her office to express anger over her refusal to face constituents at a town hall.

Mace said her office has been returning calls from people contacting her about the town hall. She claimed that of the 300 people they have reached out to so far, only one person has had a legitimate concern.

He did not name any of these teams.

“Your BS calls are taking away from people who have real needs in our community, from housing to the VA to job issues, you name it,” she said, adding that “not one person has any issue with a federal agency that we can assist them with.”

Clearly, Mace does not consider frustration over a representative’s refusal to face their constituents a legitimate grievance. Despite the fact that town halls are a cornerstone of democracy, she told those calling that what they are doing “is evil.”

“It’s completely evil,” she said. “Help those in our community. Help those in need. Stop making up BS excuses that you’re trying to put people in harm’s way over. You don’t have any issues that need to be resolved. You’re just being nasty. You’re being ugly, you’re being hateful, you’re being evil. Stop it.”

Mace – who has made a national name for herself by bullying trans people, including targeting private citizens, shouting anti-trans slurs during House proceedings, and hurling countless insults at trans Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) – told people to “go find a fellow neighbor and say something nice” and to “stop being violent with your words.”

“Stop being ugly and hateful,” she emphasized. “You’re taking away from real people in the Lowcountry that have real needs, and you need to stop.”

In March, Mace claimed it was “not safe” for her to attend a public town hall planned by her constituents.

“This is FAKE NEWS,” she posted on X, along with a flyer for the town hall naming her as an invited guest. It’s not clear which part she was purporting to be fake, since the flyer just says she was invited and not that she was attending.

“This event is being driven by left-wing extremists and paid agitators with a clear agenda,” Mace went on to claim. “I WILL NOT be attending. We’re staying away because it’s not safe, and we refuse to be bullied by individuals who are threatening me, my employees, and my family.”

Mace was perpetuating the GOP’s new favorite lie that the hordes of angry constituents flooding Republican town halls are actually paid actors.
