Conservatives are still angry that the Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV), by coincidence, fell on the same day as Easter Sunday last year, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was eager to compare former President Joe Biden’s TDOV message last year to this year’s “joyous” Easter message from Donald Trump.
Except that Trump issued two Easter messages. One of them was bitter, vindictive, and political.

“How much did you make off of people’s despair?” she asked Greene.
“Amazing what a difference a year can make,” The White House’s X account posted, showing two headlines. One headline from last year incorrectly states that Biden declared Easter Sunday to be TDOV. TDOV is always on March 31, while Easter changes days each year. Biden issued a proclamation for both observances that fell on the same day last year, but right-wingers got mad at the TDOV proclamation and pretended like the Easter proclamation didn’t exist.

The other headline says that Trump shared a “joyous” Easter message, but what he posted to social media has been criticized for its bitterness and political nature.
Greene shared this message and then immediately followed that post that said, “There are only two genders/sexes: MALE and FEMALE.”
Trump’s official Easter message was short and conservative, saying, “I want to wish Christians everywhere a happy, and beautiful, and blessed holiday. America is a nation of believers. We need God. We want God. And with His help, we will make our nation stronger.’
But away from his handlers, Trump’s Easter message on social media got attention for being bonkers and mean. Trump wished a “Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country.”
He also wished a Happy Easter to “the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue, an attack so violent that it will never be forgotten!”
He then said that Biden “purposefully” allowed “Millions of CRIMINALS to enter our country… through an Open Borders Policy” that did not actually exist.
“He was, by far, our WORST and most Incompetent President, a man who had absolutely no idea what he was doing,” Trump wrote about Biden, who is a devout Catholic who was likely celebrating Easter yesterday. Trump then repeated the lie that he actually won the 2020 election and that Biden somehow stole it because he “manipulated the Auto Pen.”
Trump then called Biden a “highly destructive Moron.”

Conservatives — including Trump and Greene — were very upset last year that the TDOV fell on Easter Sunday. Trump said that he would make Easter Sunday “Christian Visibility Day,” which he did not do this year.
Greene stayed mad about it until at least the Republican National Convention in July, bringing it up in her speech: Democrats “promised peace and brought war. They promised normalcy and gave us Transgender Visibility Day on Easter Sunday.” The crowd booed.
Easter Sunday this year fell on 4/20 — an international cannabis consumption holiday — but Trump and Greene did not publicly complain about that.
