Congratulations! You’ve made it to the last weekend of April! Now it’s time to treat yourself with a heaping helping of good news. This week has a great selection, with love stories, court victories, trailblazing women, and a magic caravan!

Also, you may not have realized, but April is National Volunteer Month, and our website has been telling stories of individuals and groups who are serving their communities in surprising ways: There’s the group helping elect more transgender political candidates, the wheelchair-using activist raising awareness about disabled sexuality, and a history-making group that has taught older Black lesbians how to “live forever.”
