Celebrity Big Brother stars Danny Beard and Chris Hughes have reflected on Mickey Rourke’s behaviour on the show, which led to him being ejected from the House after ‘unacceptable’ actions.

During their time in the Celebrity Big Brother House, both runner up Danny Beard (best known for winning season four of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK) and Chris Hughes (who first appeared on season three of Love Island in 2017) clashed with Hollywood star Mickey Rourke

The Iron Man 2 star was ejected from the House for ‘unacceptable’ behaviour after an incident with JoJo Siwa in which he indirectly referred to the Dance Moms star as a ‘f*g’. Mickey later tried to provoke Chris into a physical fight.

Speaking about the character in a YouTube video for Kloss, the pair labelled Mickey “misunderstood”.

“How misunderstood was he at times?” Chris, who stood up for JoJo Siwa against Mickey asked. “He said a lot of bad things.”

“I think that is a story in masculinity right there,” Danny replied. “I liked him. I didn’t like what he said, I didn’t like how he acted at times.”

“He was lost a bit, wasn’t he,” Chris said.

Danny Beard, who won Drag Race UK in 2022, also revealed that former Olympian Daley Thompson gave him “the stares” in the House, making him feel uncomfortable.

“When I got in there, Daley [Thompson] was giving me the stares,” he told Chris. “I was like, ‘He hates me, he hates me,'” Danny said.

“And he made a little comment, ‘It’s not all about you.’ And I just went in on myself. I don’t ever fully trust straight men. And that has been a learning experience being in Big Brother … if you give everyone five minutes you realise you’ve got more in common with people.

“I’ve always been the butt of straight men’s jokes, I still am… I’m very visibly gay. I sound like a 49 year old woman that works on a doctor’s reception,” Danny added.
