Doechii has responded to claims that she mistreated staff at the Met Gala as she was getting ready to debut her look.
This year’s Met Gala marked the first time the queer rapper headed up the event, and was dressed up to the nines in a Pharrell Williams-designed Louis Vuitton cream and grey short suit.
Drawing on this year’s theme, Doechii’s shorts featured the fashion house’s iconic checkerboard design, while her blazer and waistcoat featured the icon LV print from the brand.
Her look was complete with burgundy accessories, including a matching pussybow, knee-high socks and buckled shoes, not to mention that Louis Vuitton branding on her cheek.

However, surfaced footage of Doechii getting ready before hitting the blue carpet has appeared online, with fans alleging that the star had “attitude”.
The star was captured appearing to give orders whilst inside a white box, and was heard requesting more umbrellas to shield her outfit from paparazzi before her official unveiling at the Met Gala.
“I need more f***ing umbrellas,” the video captured. “I don’t want these people f***ing seeing me, move the umbrella!”
One onlooker wrote: “I’m sorry but the way she’s talking to people ain’t it.”
Meanwhile, others defended the musician, noting that she may have been under stress, particularly, as this was her first Met Gala appearance. “They put so much time, effort and money into these looks.The point is to reveal at the carpet. This is a completely valid response,” another social media user said.
However, in a Wednesday (7 May) TikTok, Doechii addressed the claims head-on. “God forbid a girl needs more umbrellas,” she wrote.
