Lesbian Trump official compared to “cartoon villain” after unhinged claim about Trump’s authority

Out State Department spokesperson and former Fox host Tammy Bruce recently said the quiet part out loud when it comes to the Trump administration’s clear intention to position the president as a dictatorial leader.

During a tense press briefing in which Bruce continually responded to questions with hostility, a reporter asked Bruce about the state of U.S. negotiations with Iran on a uranium enrichment ban, since a post from the president appeared contradictory to reports of a proposal from Trump’s special envoy to Iran.

Bruce asked if the reporter had seen the post from Trump, and she said, “Yes, but I didn’t think that would completely negate the reporting.”

At that, Bruce threw her head back and let out what one X user described as the “scariest laugh since the Wicked Witch of The West.”

“I appreciate that,” Bruce said. “I think that’s the biggest guffaw I’ve had here. The thing that matters when it comes to American policy and what’s happening is what President Trump thinks and says. This is the Trump administration. It is sometimes an unusual communiction structure… Is his opinion that he makes public Trump news media reports? I think so. You know better than that.”
