Pornhub has revealed every US state’s favourite gay porn categories.

As part of its annual Pride Insights, the adult site issued details of the porn habits of countries across the world, including highlighting the top gay porn stars and the most-viewed categories.

Research focused solely on the US showed each state’s most-viewed porn genre overall, as well as the genres viewed proportionally more in each state when compared to other states.

17 US states are notably absent from the stats, after Pornhub blocked access to users due to a legislative row over ID verification checks. The site announced last week that UK users will soon be asked to undergo “government approved” age verification checks to access its material.

‘Black’ was most viewed in the eastern and northern Midwest states, as well as in Washington, Georgia and Nevada. 

Big d*ck was popular in Alaska, California, Vermont, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. 

Straight Guys proved to be the favoured term in Colorado, Iowa and Louisiana, while the twink category dominated in Ohio, Oregon, North Dakota, Arizona and New Mexico. 

When it came to the gay categories viewed more often in each state compared to others, the stats were equally as revealing: Pornhub statisticians found that Oregon and Colorado had a thing for straight guys, while California couldn’t get enough big d*cks. 

Minnesota residents clearly liked bears and North Dakota was all about the ‘daddy’ category. 

Delaware was a little different, with ‘feet’ being the most-searched category in the Diamond State. Residents in Massachusetts opted for ‘hand-jobs’, and New Yorkers seemingly couldn’t get enough of ‘bareback’. 

Meanwhile, Pornhub’s Pride insights revealed that two conservative red states have a disproportionately high number of gay porn viewers.
