August 08 2025, 08:15 Dean Cain, the former Superman star and now Trump bestie and MAGA lover, is set to take his embrace of the hard-right even further by joining US Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In comments that we know would have Superman’s heat vision powers fizzing at the eyeballs, the Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman has said he is ready to join the much-criticised, militia-like organisation as it rounds up people across the US.
ICE is a federal agency that enforces the country’s immigration laws. This includes arresting and deporting people the agency believes are in the country illegally. It was formed in 2002, in the wake of the September 11 attacks. In the US there have been protests over the organisation’s efforts with some people branding it a “terrorist organisation.”

Cain, who has previously attacked the recent Superman film starring David Corenswet (someone who truly embodies the ideals of the man of steel) for being “woke”, told Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime show on Wednesday (6 August), “I will be sworn in as an ICE agent, ASAP.”
Cain further explained, “I put out a recruitment video yesterday. I’m actually a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer. I wasn’t part of ICE, but once I put that out there and you put a little blurb on your show, it went crazy. So, now I’ve spoken with some officials over at ICE, and I will be sworn in as an ICE agent, ASAP.”
ICE has been recruiting for 10,000 news positions, receiving around 80,000 applications, according to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. The Trump official also confirmed they had removed the age cap for applicants.
The former TV star told Waters that he’d do “whatever director Lyons wants me to do, that he would support ICE in a “heartbeat” and called for more people to “step up.”

Cain told Waters he was motivated to join ICE because America was “built on patriots stepping up, whether it was popular or not.” Cain was definite that joining ICE was the right thing to do.
“We have a broken immigration system. Congress needs to fix it, but in the interim, President Trump ran on this. He is delivering on this. This is what people voted for. It’s what I voted for, and he’s going to see it through. I’ll do my part and help make sure it happens.”
And, unlike many ICE agents seen rounding people up already, Cain said he wouldn’t wear a mask to hide his identity.
Many people responded to Dean Cain’s comments with derision online. One person took to X to point out: “Superman would be against ICE. He’d be rounding them up!”
Another X user went even further, describing Cain as a “vile POS (piece of shit)” and adding: Dean Cain is the opposite of Superman. ‘Worst of the worst’? Like newborns? Paediatric cancer patients? Parents and grandparents and queer people with no criminal records? Joining ICE now, is like joining the Nazi army in 1942.”
Despite Cain’s comments on DC’s latest Superman flick, audiences have spoken with their wallets. At the beginning of August the film had taken $551 million (£414.5 million) at the worldwide box office since its release showing that people had a lot of love for it.
Superman is in cinemas now.
