October 09 2025, 08:15 You might have heard that Taylor Swift has recently released a new album, but have you heard that her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, has “hot gay friends”? Well, apparently he does – and many people are curious who they could be.
This tidbit came to us directly from Taylor herself. While promoting The Life of a Showgirl the “Wood” singer made several appearances across British TV and radio at the end of last week.
One of those was to Hits Radio where she spoke to James Barr, Fleur East, and Will Best. During the conversation, Taylor was asked if she’s found a best friend who’s hot.
The question references a lyric on “Wi$h Li$t,” where Taylor sings, “I made wishes on all of the stars / Please, God, bring me a best friend / Who I think is hot.”
To prove she had Taylor flashed the engagement ring on her hand. This lead Barr into asking, “I have a question, actually: does he have any hot gay friends?.” The answer is a simple, “Yeah.”
Taylor then added, “I also have a lot of those as well.” But we already knew about those! It’s Travis’ we’re interested in knowing more about!
“But yeah, you would absolutely love him,” Taylor continued. “He’s a blast, he’s just the most fun person. Life of any party, even when it’s just us. So yeah, that is the goal, isn’t it? Find a best friend who you think is hot.”
The small exchange has got tongues a-wagging as to who Travis’ “hot gay friends” could be with the thinking being they could be NFL players. Travis currently plays for the Kansas City Chiefs which has no out-queer players as of yet.
Speaking to OutSports in 2017, Kelce told Outsports that he’d support a gay teammate. As per Advocate he said, “Anybody in this world [can play]. I’m comfortable with who I am and I expect everyone to be comfortable with who they are. I respect people for their views and opinions.”
As for Taylor’s “hot gay friends,” we already know a few of them. Her 2019 hit “You Need to Calm Down” featured a slew of queer icons including the then cast of Queer Eye, as well as Jesse Tyler Ferguson and husband Justin Mikita, Adam Rippon, drag queens, and more.
On top of that Taylor famously performed “My My My” with Troye Sivan on the Reputation tour in LA in 2018.
