Brooklyn police are hunting for a man who allegedly made anti-LGBTQ+ comments before attacking a woman with a chair around 3 p.m. local time on Sunday, October 5.
The suspect allegedly walked up to the 35-year-old woman and made anti-LGBTQ+ remarks, Gay City News reported. He then allegedly grabbed a chair and used it to hit the woman’s arm.

The attack left the woman with minor injuries, but she didn’t receive any medical attention. However, the suspect reportedly fled the scene in a white Jeep Compass.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) is investigating the attack as a hate crime, though no arrests have been made as of yet. However, the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers social media account posted an image of the suspected assailant. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
