Controversial British influencer and alleged scammer Harrison Sullivan, a.k.a. HSTikkyTokky, has threatened to sue over deepfake videos portraying him as gay.
In recent weeks, AI-generated videos showing Sullivan in drag, applying make-up, and coming out as gay have proliferated on social media. The clips all appear to have been created using OpenAI’s recently launched text-to-video tool Sora 2 by users of the company’s new invite-only social app. Each clip bears a Sora watermark showing the company’s name and logo, though crucially, the watermarks do not explicitly identify the videos as “AI-generated.” Social media users unfamiliar with the tool, which was launched on September 30, may not immediately understand that the clips are fake.

AI videos showed influencer Jake Paul coming out as gay. His reaction has been surprising.
During a recent stream on livestreaming platform Kick.com, Sullivan reacted to the Sora-generated clips, which he said he’d seen circulating on TikTok.
“I just wanna to let you know, I’m not happy with them, especially the ones that make me out to be zesty, the ones that make me out to be doing makeup,” Sullivan said. “Zesty” is slang for “gay.” “I’ve seen people trying to get clout and clips off of my name. It is actually defamation at this point. I’m actually takin’ it there.”

As U.K. LGBTQ+ outlet PinkNews notes, U.K. courts do not generally consider accusations of homosexuality to be defamatory. However, that did not stop Sullivan from threatening to “take legal action in the U.K.” against anyone posting deepfakes that portray him as gay.
Later in the stream, Sullivan reacted to one AI-generated clip showing his likeness applying makeup.
“Stop making videos like this,” Sullivan told his followers, claiming that his own uncle had messaged him about similar clips. “This is actually damaging my image. I’m not even joking, and I will genuinely start suing people that are putting videos like this up about me.”
“The problem is, people see this, yeah? And they do not understand, yeah? They do not understand that this fake, yeah?” Sullivan continued. “Older people see this — investors, my family — and they’re gonna think that I’m a certain way inclined!”
Sullivan also shared several Sora deepfakes via X, along with further threats to sue those responsible for the clips.
AI companies should be sued for allowing defamatory videos like this of me to be uploaded. I am currently in discussions to seek reparations. Disgusting pic.twitter.com/RXw0KoaUvX
