A trans comedian claiming to be a member of the Bush family described former President George W. Bush as a “creepy uncle” who makes it awkward to bring dates to Thanksgiving.

On an episode of the improvised stand-up show Crowd Control, performer Joyelle Nicole Johnson singled out audience member Jessi Kat Scott for wearing a t-shirt that said, “This Bush Loves Bush.”

The crowd was shocked when Scott confirmed that they are a member of the Bush dynasty, but when Johnson joked about Scott having money, they clarified, “I’m a trans member of the Bush family, so I don’t got that kind of money anymore.”

Scott explained that former President George H.W. Bush was their great uncle, making George W. Bush a type of “cousin uncle.”

Johnson asked what family reunions are like, and Scott replied, “It’s hard to date ’cause bringing someone back, bringing a queer person back to Thanksgiving, your creepy uncle is like, W.”

The Crowd Control social media account posted a video of the exchange and wrote, “The only Bush family member who has earned our respect (sorry Jeb).”

In September, Scott posted a clip of their own stand-up and declared they were coming out “as an all american failed nepo baby.”

The clip shows Scott telling the audience they always feel they have to “come out as a Bush” before being intimate with someone.

“I feel like it’s my due diligence to do so for others because I feel like I would want consent before f**king a member of the Bush family. But my therapists say that I don’t necessarily need to do that, and I disagree with them.”

“I have been suspicious that I am being c**k blocked by 9/11,” they said, describing a situation where someone they hooked up with lost a good friend who couldn’t support someone who slept with a Bush.

“If anyone thinks that no one in the Bush family has paid for the crimes of 9/11, just now that there’s at least one,” they joked.
