
Police are hunting for a man who was captured on surveillance video copulating with a deceased male passenger in a New York City subway car and then robbing the corpse.
A subway train conductor found the deceased man, believed to be in his 40s, laying face down facedown in an R train subway car in the Whitehall St. subway station in lower Manhattan around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, The New York Post reported.

When police examined surveillance footage, they found that the deceased man originally boarded the subway car around 8 p.m., lit a cigarette given to him by another passenger, and filled the car with smoke, compelling other passengers to leave the car. The man then died of unknown causes.

Surveillance footage then revealed that around 11 p.m. another man, aged in his 50s, stepped into the car, found the deceased man, took items out of the deceased man’s pockets, and proceeded to have oral and rectal intercourse with his corpse before leaving the subway car about an hour later.
About 20 minutes later, a second man — believed to have no association to the first man — went through the deceased man’s pockets and allegedly took items he found there as well.
Police have released images of the two suspected thieves are are trying to identify the deceased man. While police have promised to conduct an autopsy, investigators found no immediate signs of trauma or drug use.
Police say the main suspect is about 5-foot-9-inches tall and 195 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, and a goatee. At the time of the alleged incident, the suspect wore a dark blue LA Dodgers cap, a yellow hooded sweatshirt, and a puffy black outer jacket.
New York state law defines intercourse with a corpse as a class A misdemeanor. It is punishable by up to a year of imprisonment, up to six-year probation, and at least 20 years of required registry as a public offender.
