November 20 2025, 08:15 Seemingly jaded gamers have complained about a trans armband in Roblox.
In a viral post on the subreddit r/RobloxAvatarReview, a forum where fans of the online video game platform and game creation system can rate user-created characters, one person accused contributors of using the Trans Pride Tied Armband accessory to “censor” criticism of their avatars.
“Every time an avatar uses this armband, it’s like an invisible rule to everyone in this [subreddit] that you must be positive, you must give that avatar a 9/10, you must support the [original poster],” they wrote. “If you don’t, you will be listed as transphobic and you will get disliked bombed.”

The accessory, which costs 50 “Robux” or $0.045, is part of a series of Pride-themed tied armbands created in 2023 by online seller Iskender’s Excellent Emporium.
Angry gamers proclaimed that the armband was “not aesthetically pleasing” while others said anyone who criticised those who include it, “automatically get called transphobic”.
The original poster went on to say: “I’m not transphobic, I’m just sick of people using Pride to justify a good avatar.” Another user wrote: “Don’t use your identity as a shield, please.”
A quick browse of the subreddit’s top posts from its entire history reveal that the armband is rarely, if ever, present.
The highest-rated post featuring the item, shared in May, received little more than 980 likes. Responding to criticism that the armband “sticks out just a little bit,” the original poster wrote: “Yeah, it does, I’m probably gonna try make it a lil more subtle.”
The only post featuring the armband that has attracted more than 1,000 likes, includes a meme mocking fans who described LGBTQ+-themed avatars as “cringe”.
